There are many within 10 miles! Some of them even offer shuttle service to Swan Lake. Let us know what you are looking for and we can make recommendations!
Parking is available at no cost to you and your guests! We have approximately 150 paved parking spaces, with additional space available if necessary.
We love creative ideas to personalize your event! The restrictions we have are: all candles must be unscented, single-wick, enclosed in glass containers (ex. votive holders, hurricanes), taper candles are only permitted for unity candles during ceremony or can be used as decor during the event unlit. No confetti, glitter, Chinese lanterns or rice are permitted. Swan Lake does not allow decorations to be stapled, taped, nailed, or any other substance to be affixed to any of the walls, floors, or ceilings in the rooms.
Your event time block will be listed on your Event Order, and is typically 8 or 10 hours for the Main Hall. You and/or your vendors are welcome to come at that time! Additional setup hours are available at $250/hour.
Yes, there is a 10:00 p.m. outdoor noise ordinance. Music may be able to continue past that time indoors, if all doors are closed, upon approval.
A $8,000 minimum applies to Friday events May-October. A $11,500 minimum applies to Saturday events May-October as well as Holidays. All Swan Lake Event Center packages (Reception, Ceremony, Main Hall), beverage packages, bar enhancements and additional add-ons are all put towards your minimum. There is no minimum Sunday-Thursday and we do not require a guest count minimum.
Of course! All beverages are to be provided by Swan Lake Event Center and all catering through our Exclusive Caterers. Other than that, you are welcome to use outside vendors for any services or items needs for your event. Examples of items/services you may want to use an outside vendor for include, DJ/band, florist, cake/desserts, event planner, officiant, etc. If you need recommendations, let us know!
We will make sure your beverages are just as exquisite as your cuisine! Swan Lake Event Center holds a liquor license and all alcohol must be purchased through Swan Lake and served by authorized Swan Lake personnel. We have various beverage packages with enhancements available, ask us for details!
Food is not required during your event. If interested, we can provide you with a list of on-site snacks and beverages available.
The dining will simply be another extraordinary part of your experience at Swan Lake! We have partnered with local caterers that are able to provide authentic, delicious and fresh food of various cuisines. Our current Exclusive Caterers are Cameron Mitchell Premier Events, Creative Cuisine Catering, Hudson's Edge Catering & Events, Metro Cuisine and The Berwick. We can help you review the options and choose the caterer that best fits your needs!
Included in your Reception Package or Main Hall rental is 8 hours of rental time in the Main Hall, terrace, access to the grounds, tables + chairs with setup and teardown of both, fireplace, firepit, customizable lighting, dance floor, parking, WiFi, and a day-of venue coordinator. Evening events with alcohol also have a security officer included. Reception Package also includes use of Willow and Maple Parlor - all day access! Should you have the Ceremony + Reception package, it also includes 2 additional hours of rental time in the Main Hall, all chairs, 1-hour rehearsal, ceremony sign and golf cart transportation upon request. Included in Parlor only rental is Parlor of choice, grounds, tables + chairs with setup of both, lighting, parking, WiFi.  
We require 25% of your estimated total to book your date, as well as a refundable security deposit of $1,000 which will be refunded within 30 days after the event only after the premises have been inspected and determined by Swan Lake to be in its original condition. When you book your event, we will also need a signed contract and credit card authorization form.
We have a number of additional add-ons you're welcome to take advantage of if they suit your vision. The current state and local tax rate is 7%. A 20% service charge is added to all food and beverage charges to cover the use of our equipment, utilities, liability insurance fees, all necessary permits, staff costs and other administrative expenses.
If you choose to have your ceremony on-site, we can provide you with multiple options. We will discuss at your 90-day meeting and then finalize based on our event schedule 30 days prior to your event.
Included in your ceremony are two hours of additional time, white folding padded chairs, ceremony sign, golf cart transportation upon request, and a one-hour rehearsal.
We have various options to help you stay within budget, most popular include choosing a Friday or Sunday for your event or we have discounted rates available January through March!
Swan Lake has multiple indoor and outdoor spaces available to you and your guests for a scenic and comfortable event. Information on each space is available on the Spaces page within our website, and that will guide you as to which space is best suited for you. We also have 20 acres, so we have a variety of outdoor ceremony locations and most outdoor accommodations can be met to fulfill your vision!
We are located at 5900 Liberty Road in Powell, Ohio. From downtown Columbus it is about a 30 minute drive and we are just minutes off the 315 exit.
